We have several group “giving” projects going on all year. Participation is optional. Many of our members donate knitted and crocheted items to charitable organizations. Would you like to help? Special Olympics Scarves (4th quarter)
This year’s color scheme is Red, White and Blue!
Scarves should be 6″ wide by 60″ long (including any fringe). Please use soft, machine-washable yarns, and please use all three colors. Beyond that, use your imagination, and have fun!
2019
3rd Quarter
Project Linus (3rd quarter)
Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides homemade blankets to children in need. Over 7.5 million blankets have been delivered since 1995. We donated 19 blankets to Project Linus.
2nd Quarter
Family Abuse Center (2nd quarter).
We will be doing a Knit-Along and Crochet-Along the month of May to hand craft meditation shawls for FAC clients. Our goal is 30 meditation shawls.
1st Quarter
Nightlight Christian Adoption Agency (1st quarter).
Birth Moms and Adoptive Parents – – > two matching newborns caps are requested. Qty 25. (We have 40/25 hat sets)
AND/OR
Baylor Scott and White-Hillcrest Nurse-Family Partnership (1st quarter).
Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest At-Risk Mothers – – -> baby blankets and/or caps are requested. Qty 100. (We have 37 blankets and 125 hats 162/100)
